About

The original North Barton Heights Association was chartered on June 1, 2002 and shuttered its doors in 2017 according to State Corporation Commission records.

After a brief attempt to relaunch an association in the midst of Covid 2020 the dream was dashed as illness, and out of area transfers took place with no one to take the helm. Even though we folded we kept the Facebook Page up and running to stay relevant and useful to our neighbors.  Our sole board member took on the task for 4 years.

Then an ember was sparked in April 2024 when a young neighbor volunteered to help relaunch our civic association.  Two others joined the group and the four of us worked together for 9 months to resurrect.  We were reinstated on June 8,2024 with the SCC and submitted past due 990N to the IRS.  We were finally legal.

After months of planning, creating new forms, new web site, banking accounts procured and a plethora of other duties and plans we stood up officially on January 4,2025 with our first of two Meet and Greets.

“Looks like we made it”.

About Our Boundaries

Each civic association in the City of Richmond determines its own geographical boundaries. Some boundaries are “blurred”, which allows neighbors to decide which association(s) they would like to join if they live between two neighboring areas.

You can view a listing off all civic associations, along with maps, here:

Our boundaries are current and updated as of March 2025!
